Rahul Khattar is an internationally trained patent agent and a lawyer with a decade of experience in assisting clients to identify and protect their intellectual property rights, particularly patents. Rahul is licensed to practice as a patent agent and a lawyer in India and holds an engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications.

Rahul has extensive experience in preparing patent applications for filing before patent offices of various jurisdictions, including Canada, United States, India and Europe. At Bhole IP Law, Rahul uses his extensive international experience to undertake complex technical matters pertaining to a variety of technological areas including, but not limited to, electrical engineering, computer software (AI, Blockchain, Cloud Migration, etc.), mechanical engineering, oil and gas, biotech and textiles, and assisting clients in securing a patent in Canada and abroad.

His practice largely includes counselling clients in analyzing patentability and securing patent protection internationally, assisting clients in developing an extensive patent portfolio, conducting patent searches, drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications, identifying patent infringement and licensing. He is also responsible for providing consultation on trademark filing and prosecution, design registrations and prosecution, and other commercial agreements.

Prior to joining Bhole IP Law, Rahul was a Senior Consultant (Intellectual Property) with India’s premier full-service law firm, and patent associate with few of India’s leading IP boutique firms. He has also worked as a network analyst for a leading multinational company before embarking on a legal career.
